I’m a hometown girl. Born and raised in Richmond, I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we are lucky enough to raise our own family here. I thought I had it made as a 20-something-year-old anchor and reporter for a Richmond television affiliate. Then I laid eyes on my first seven pound baby boy. That’s when I knew I wanted to document something different, something bigger. Ever since, I’ve captured memories for hundreds of local families.
When I pick up the camera, it’s about more than getting everyone to smile. It’s about capturing the pure joy of whatever stage you’re experiencing. From newborns to milestones, each moment is a piece of your family’s story. It needs to be documented, and I want to be the one to do it.
My goal for your session is to make each person in the frame feel comfortable. Don’t know what to do with your hands? I’ve got you covered. Afraid you can’t break someone of the fake “cheese” before your session? I’m on it. Let me take the reins and put my own creative spin on things. You sit back and enjoy the ride.
I want to introduce you guys to my associate photographer, Sam Truda. She’s originally from Manheim, Pennsylvania and now lives in Mechanicsville with her husband Jason and two-year-old son Cameron.
She has been shooting for most of her life and even acquired the nickname "Camera Hands Sam" as a teenager. Sam taught second grade for two years after college and is amazing with children. She now works full-time for a financial firm. Being from PA, she is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, and she loves being outdoors.
I hand-picked Sam to be a part of our team, and she shoots senior and family sessions for us. I'm excited for you to meet her.
